Traveling: First you have to get there

Today/yesterday was travel day.  Not fun, but you have to keep your eye on the prize....being in France.  We boarded our Delta 330 last night at 4:30 and life has been pretty much hell since then to 4:30 today.   Crowded plane (but we paid the extra $100 per person for 5" of extra leg room), terrible food, 2 screaming  babies all night long.

The difference of riding in the back seat of a Cadillac or a Volkswagen.

NO sleep.  Arrived at CDG airport in Paris at 7:10,  custom lines as long as Disneyworld, Walk, walk walk to the train station in the airport (easily 5 miles away), wait in line to purchase train tickets, eat good croissant in the station.

Get on the train to Tours, transfer trains.  Arrive at Grand Hotel, Tours, France.

 Nap, bath!

View from our room.  Apple Blossoms.

Went out at 6PM to scout out the neighborhood and find some food that was edible. Way too early for dinner/supper.   Walked and walked but found a bistro that had tent sides and heaters inside.

It's happy hour!  So a bottle of Cote du Rhone, 4 glasses and a garbage basket.  Now, a garbage appetizer basket here is a little different than the Blue Collar.
Fresh chicken, BBQ sauce, Calamari, French Fries, Mozzeralla sticks, Fresh Corn Chips and Guacamole, and Garlic Aoli.

Walked back to the Grand Hotel, Jerry is napping again.  We plan to go out again, but who knows?  Tomorrow Dave and Dee go on the Chateau tour and Jerry and I....maybe just hang out? Its chilly here.  50's.  Glad you're following.  Jean's
