Traveling: First you have to get there

Today/yesterday was travel day.  Not fun, but you have to keep your eye on the prize....being in France.  We boarded our Delta 330 last night at 4:30 and life has been pretty much hell since then to 4:30 today.   Crowded plane (but we paid the extra $100 per person for 5" of extra leg room), terrible food, 2 screaming  babies all night long. NO sleep.  Arrived at CDG airport in Paris at 7:10,  custom lines as long as Disneyworld, Walk, walk walk to the train station in the airport (easily 5 miles away), wait in line to purchase train tickets, eat good croissant in the station.

The difference of riding in the back seat of a Cadillac or a Volkswagen.

This trip -- boys together, girls together.

Croissants and Cafe at the airport

Get on the train to Tours, transfer trains.  Arrive at Grand Hotel, Tours, France.

View from our room.  Apple Blossoms.

Went out at 6PM . Way too early for dinner/supper.
Found a bistro that had tent sides and heaters inside.

It's happy hour!  So a bottle of Cote du Rhone, 4 glasses and a garbage basket.

Fresh chicken, BBQ sauce, Calamari, French Fries, Fresh Corn Chips and Guacamole.
